School Visits
Avalokiteshvara Buddhist Center welcomes schools and students to visit the Center. If Buddhism has appeared on your curriculum and you are uncertain about how to approach it, we invite you to bring your students to the Center to see the magnificent statues of Buddhas and learn about this ancient contemplative tradition.
School visits can be tailored to the needs and interests of your students and can include an introduction to Buddhism, the life of Buddha, and an explanation of the Buddhist way of life. Students always have lots of questions about the shrine and offerings.
These explanations are given by ordained monks and nuns or Dharma practitioners who will be available to answer questions from curious students. The explanations given are age-appropriate.
Teachers are also available to visit schools. However, students usually
get more out of visiting the Center.
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, so please consider making a donation to our center when planning your request. Thank you.
